KATHMANDU, April 6: A solo photo exhibition by a photojournalist of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), a national news agency of Nepal, to promote the Bisket Jatra (Biska) kicked off on Tuesday.
Photojournalist Ratna Krishna Shrestha’s photos related to the festival have been put on display at Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). The exhibition features over 100 photos of Bisket Jatra, a festival specifically celebrated by the locals of Bhaktapur during the Nepali New Year.
“I am simply trying to promote the festival and want people other than the locals of Bhaktapur to experience the festivities,” Shakya said. “It is an attempt to create awareness amongst the local as well as international tourists.”
