Pathlaiya-Birgunj road to become six lane in 2  years

BARA, Nov 22: Birgung-Pathlaiya road section connecting Birgunj, popularly known as the gateway to Nepal, is becoming six-lane. This Birgunj-Pathlaiya road section is being extended into a commercial highway within 20 months, according to officials.

It is likely to take two years to complete the construction. The concerned companies have already initiated the construction works, Rabindra Lal Das, project head, told Republica Online.

Birgunj-Pathlaiya road section which is two-lane now will be six –lane in two years.

The construction companies are extending the road up-to 25 meters on both the sides of the road from the center.

One-lane road will of three meters.
