Patan Jaycees gets new president for 2018

Republica, Kathmandu 

JC Suman Shrestha has been elected the President of Patan Jaycees during the 31st LOM Convention and 47th Annual General Meeting of Patan Jaycees held at The Divine Taste Restaurant in Kumaripati on Saturday. 

According to the press statement released by Patan Jaycees, it is the first LOM of Nepal Jaycees, established in 1970. JC Shrestha won the election unopposed and will undertake the responsibilities necessitated by the position for 2018. 

The newly formed Executive Committee led by JC Shrestha also comprises of Executive Vice President JC Mijash Chitrakar, Vice Presidents JC Inilaj Shrestha, JC Rojina Thapa, JC Ronish Parajuli and JC Regan Maharjan, all elected unchallenged. 

Similarly, JC Shrestha also appointed JC Daisy Napit as the secretary general, JC Prakriti Joshi as treasurer, JC Bipin Bajracharya as joint secretary and JC Niken Man Pradhan as GLC during the event, as per the press statement. 

The LOM convention was inaugurated by the JCI Senator Jayadev Vaidya, who spoke of the need for Jaycees to actively work toward reshaping the society. “Patan Jaycees is a pioneering Jaycees organization of the country. Therefore, it is crucial that they work toward national issues of JCI Nepal as well,” Vaidya’s statement was quoted in the statement.

It added that JC Shrestha also announced his intentions to assist in developing the members of the organization through various professional and leadership development training. The event was honored with the presence of past-presidents, members and Jaycees from different branches.
