KATHMANDU, June 6: The Patan High Court has ordered the imprisonment of all eight defendants in the 14 kg gold smuggling case.
On Thursday, judges Hariprasad Paudel and Hemant Rawal upheld the Kathmandu District Court's decision, confirming that the original order was appropriate.
The defendants, Lek Bahadur Tamang, Ramesh Deula, Anil Shrestha, Radhakrishna Shrestha, Sher Bahadur Basnet, Krishna Kumar Shrestha, Min Bahadur Ghale, and Jiban Gurung, will remain in custody on charges of gold smuggling.
