KATHMANDU, Nov 7: The hearing of the writ petition filed against Ncell has started today in Patan High Court. A single bench of Judge Purushottam Prasad Dhakal has started the hearing on the case.
On Wednesday, a writ petition was filed at Patan High Court against Axiata and local directors and managers for sharing capital gains tax of Rs 53.20 billion allocated to the government after Ncell's previous Swedish investor, Telia Sonera left Nepal.

A case has been registered against Ncell's current investor Axiata and the owner and manager of Sunivera Capital Ventures, which is considered to be a local partner. The writ petitioner has claimed that the deal involves embezzlement of foreign currency and money laundering.
