KATHMANDU, Nov 21: The party palaces, inns and public places in the federal capital Kathmandu are under police surveillance. Due to the possibility of the Durga Prasai group bringing people from outside the capital and people involved in criminal activities entering there, surveillance has been increased keeping in mind the security situation.
According to a high-ranking police source, after receiving information that various religious groups supported Prasai's movement, the places of public rest (patis/pauwas), inns and party palaces have been kept under high surveillance to prevent religious riots and violence.

"Events such as weapons displays cannot be held in public places, but party palaces are under surveillance because the information we received is a little different," said a police source.
