KATHMANDU, March 21: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has stated that westerly and local winds are partially influencing the country's weather.
Koshi and Madhes provinces, along with hilly regions, have partly to generally cloudy skies, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.
According to the DHM, clouds will cover Koshi, Lumbini, and Madhes provinces, as well as hilly regions, during the daytime, while other areas will experience clear skies.
Partly cloudy skies likely across Nepal this afternoon

Some hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces may receive light rainfall with thunder and lightning. A few locations in the high hills and mountainous regions may see light snowfall.
Tonight, clouds will continue to cover Koshi province and other hilly regions, while other parts of the country will have partial cloud cover.
Light rainfall with thunder and lightning may occur in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as in one or two places in the hilly regions of other provinces. A few locations in the high hills and mountainous regions may also receive light snowfall.
The DHM has predicted light rainfall with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as in one or two places in other hilly regions over the next 24 hours. It has urged the public to remain cautious, as this weather pattern could slightly affect daily life, agriculture, health, road transport, and aviation.
