KATHMANDU, April 16: Speaker Onsari Gharti has urged all political parties to move ahead together for country's development and prosperity.
Addressing the 28th Establishment Day of the Nepal Sadbhawana Party and party's Mahasamiti meeting here Sunday, Speaker Gharti said, "The political parties have no alternative but get united to hold three-tiers of elections within the stipulated timeframe of January 21, 2018."
Stressing that the political parties should be serious for the economic development of the country along with constitution implementation at a time when the country has already got the constitution, she urged them to rise above the personal and party interest for the sake of the nation.
Similarly, Nepali Congress leader Gopalman Shrestha urged all the political parties to participate in the local-level elections scheduled for May 14.
Likewise, Chairman of the Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Upendra Yadav, said that they would not participate in the election until the government addressed the demands put forth by Madhes-based political parties; while Chairman of the Sadbhawana Party, Rajendra Mahato, blamed that conspiracy was plotted against Madhes-based parties in the name of constitution amendment.
Similarly, Vice-Chairman of Tarai-Madhes Loktantrik Party, Hridayesh Tripathi, and Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Republic), Raj Kishor Yadav and among others pointed out that Madhes-based parties should be united for their rights.
On the occasion, political leaders of different countries extended best wishes. The meeting would continue till April 18. RSS
