KATHMANDU, April 30: Three political parties which earlier registered a no-confidence motion against the Chief Minister of the Gandaki Province, Prithivi Subba Gurung, have demanded security.
Issuing a joint press release on Thursday, Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center) and Janata Samajbadi Party demanded security for the Speaker of the Province Assembly and the lawmakers supporting the no-confidence motion.

The parliamentary party leaders of the three parties also called for taking action against individuals and groups involved in threatening and trying to unduly influence their province assembly members.
The press release has been jointly signed by Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader, Krishna Chandra Nepali, CPN (Maoist Center) parliamentary party leader, Hari Bahadur Chuman and Janata Samajwadi Party parliamentary party leader, Hari Sharan Acharya.
The three parties have also demanded fair investigation into the PCR test report of Provincial Assembly member Khim Bikram Shahi and its credibility, and examination of CCTV hardware of Charak Hospital as well as disclosure of its entire footage.
