Parsa witnesses 34 new cases of coronavirus

PARSA, July 29: Parsa district witnessed 34 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday.


34 persons including five children, 10 women and a Nepal Army constable tested positive for COVID-19 during PCR tests conducted at the Narayani Sub-regional Hospital in Birgunj today morning.

Madan Upadhyaya, the medical superintendent of the hospital, informed that majority of the COVID-19 infected persons are from Ward no. 4 and Ward no. 15 of Birgunj Metropolitan City.


Likewise, a Nepal Army constable who was staying at a quarantine facility set up inside the local Siddhartha Secondary School also tested positive for COVID-19.


Those diagnosed with coronavirus in Birgunj are between the ages of 2 and 65.
