KATHMANDU, Sept 20: A parliamentary hearing for newly recommended Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Nabin Ghimire has begun in Singha Durbar.

If Ghimire’s name is endorsed, the President will appoint him to the post of the anti-graft body chief.

The Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee (PHSC) had allocated 10 days’ time until September 17 for registering complaints against Ghimire. However, no complaints have been registered against him so far.

On September 5, the Constitutional Council (CC) had recommended Ghimire as the chief of the CIAA that had been headless for seven months.
