KATHMANDU, Dec 9: The Federal Parliament Hearing Committee on Friday unanimously approved the name of Sanil Nepal as Nepal's ambassador to Portugal.
The parliamentary panel approved Nepal's name unanimously, Committee's senior-most member Pashupati Shumsher JBR said.

At the Committee's meeting on Friday, Nepal had made a presentation on his plans of action and said that he would discharge his duty to the best of his knowledge, capacity and conscience.
He also said that he would work to bring in 10,000 tourists from Portugal to Nepal every year.
Earlier on October 19, the government had decided to open the Nepal Embassy in Portugal and recommend Nepal as the ambassador there.
