KATHMANDU, July 10: The parliamentary special committee formed to investigate the misappropriation of cooperative funds will hold discussions with the victims on Wednesday. In a meeting held at Singha Durbar on Tuesday, the special committee decided to engage with the representatives of the victims of problematic cooperatives.

Chairperson of the special committee, Surya Bahadur Thapa Chhetri, stated that the committee has decided to hold discussion with the representatives of the victims.  In Tuesday’s meeting, discussions were held with the office bearers of the Department of Cooperatives. The special committee also announced plans to collect more facts from the victims on Wednesday to work towards resolving the issue.

Chairman Thapa said, "Today, we plan to have a discussion with the victims' representatives. We have called victims from all 29 cooperatives and representatives of other cooperatives. It is not possible to call all the victims for a discussion. Therefore, we have organized a program to listen to the victims’ representatives."
