KATHMANDU, July 2: Nepali Congress lawmaker satired Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's dream of operating waterways as he highlighted poor road conditions of the country's capital.
"We Nepalis are traveling on ships for just Rs 15," Rasaili said referring to water logged streets of Kathmandu.
He went on,"Today we will be travelling from Gokarna, Jorpati, Tripureshwor via ship to reach up to the Parliamentarian house."
With incessant rainfall, streets of Kathmandu have been waterlogged. Meanwhile, parts of the country have been flooded.
Earlier today, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology had issued a flood alert stating that many rivers would swell and cross its safety levels.
