KATHMANDU, Nov 9: The first meeting of the Legislature-Parliament after the Tihar and Chhatha festivals is being held at 2:00 pm Thursday.
The meeting would continue discussion on the impeachment motion registered against Chief of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Lokman Singh Karki. The impeachment motion was registered with signatures of a total of 177 lawmakers from the CPN-UML and the CPN (Maoist Centre) on October 19.
Joint Spokesperson at the Legislature-Parliament Secretariat Sudarshan Kuinkel informed that the meeting would also see the presentation of the bill on National Women Commission, in addition to the regular discussion on the impeachment motion. RSS
