PALPA, Dec. 14: Police have confirmed the identities of all five persons killed in a jeep accident occurred on Thursday evening at Argidanda on its route to Bahadurpur from Tansen.

Those killed in the accident are Birendra Rana, 20, Yanisara Gaha, 44, Kunisara Ruchal, 23, Rebat Bahadur GC, 71, and Bhumi Kumari Darlami, 41.

All deceased persons are from the Bahadurpur village, police said. The passenger jeep (Lu 1 Ja 2653) heading towards Bahadurpur fell some 500 meters off the road, according to Chairman of Purbakhola Rural Municipality-2 Nir Bahadur Saru.

Darlami, who gave birth to her baby three days ago, succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment in Lumbini Medical College, Tansen. The hospital said that health of the newborn is in good condition. RSS
