KATHMANDU, Oct 25: Pakistan has finally defeated India in the World Cup after 29 years. Pakistan won by 10 wickets with 13 balls to spare in their T20 World Cup match against India after losing their previous 12 matches (seven in ODI and five in T20 World Cups).

As the Indian bowlers battled to contain the two batters, skipper Babar Azam hammered 68 and his opening partner Mohammad Rizwan smashed 79.

Virat Kohli's half-century earlier in the day had helped India recover from a poor start to register 151/7 against Pakistan in an ICC Twenty20 World Cup encounter on Sunday. Rishabh Pant smashed 39 in 30 deliveries, in addition to Kohli's 49-ball 57.

This has put an end to India's near-three-decade dominance on the international scene.
