Pakistan Embassy organizes flag-hoisting ceremony

KATHMANDU, March 23: A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan, Kathmandu on Thursday, on the eve of the National Day of Pakistan.

The Charge d’ Affaires Umair Ali hoisted the national flag of Pakistan. On the occasion, the messages from the president and prime minister of Pakistan were read out.

Speaking on the occasion, Umair Ali recalled the determination and resolution of Muslims in 1940 to create a separate homeland for themselves and their future generations. He underlined the need for reaffirming the commitment “to make Pakistan the homeland that our forefathers had envisioned.” 

The members of the Pakistani Community in Nepal and officials of the Embassy attended the ceremony.
