KATHMANDU, Feb 5: Pakistan has called on the international community to urge India to immediately put an end to the gross human rights violations of innocent Kashmiris in Indian occupied Kashmir.
Issuing a press release on Monday, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said hundreds of Kashmiris have lost their lives while over 20,000 innocent people including women and children have been left blinded due to inhuman use of pellet guns.
“Since July 2016, Indian atrocities have resulted in the killings of hundreds of innocent Kashmiris and injuring over 20,000. The unprecedented, inhuman use of pellet guns has blinded more than 200 people, including women and young children depriving them of any chance of leading fulfilling lives,” said Prime Minister Abbasi in the statement.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has urged the international community to ensure expedited resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with the UNSC Resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
