MAHOTTARI, Sept 12: Over a dozen locals of Mahottari district sustained injuries when they clashed with security personnel of the Sima Suraksha Bal (SSB) in the bordering town of Matihani, India, regarding a trade dispute on Monday evening.
The Nepali youths were returning home with cement bags when they reached Matihani, where they were mistreated by the SSB personnel. The Indian security force stopped them and tore the cement bags leading to the clash. The outnumbered youths were beaten black and blue by the SSB men, who used their boots and rifle butts to thrash the youngsters.
Over a dozen of them sustained injuries, according to the local police.
Ganesh Chaudhary and Mahesh Mahato of Matihani-7 of Mahottari district, along with over a dozen others have sustained injuries, according to Matihani Police Post.
