BARA, Aug 25: A bus carrying pilgrims from Nepal has met with an accident in India. The bus (Na 7 Kha 6446) met with the accident on Saturday night at Samastipur of India, resulting in 45 injuries. Of the injured, three are reported to be seriously injured.
A total of 47 people including 25 women and six children were traveling in the bus and two were unharmed.

According to Bara District Police Office Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson Prakash Sapkota, Dev Narayan Pandit, Subodh Shah Teli and a nine-year-old girl are critically injured in the accident that happened when a truck hit the bus from behind, according to the Indian security forces.
It is said the bus was carrying people to religious shrines in India including Devghar Babadham in Bihar. All of them are said to be from Murtipaliya of Baragadhi Rural Municipality-3 in Bara, according to DSP Sapkota.
The injured are being treated at the Samastipur Sadar Hospital and other private clinics there. The bus entered India via the Raxaul checkpoint at 11:00 AM on Saturday. The bus is owned by Rajaram Shah of Baragadi-1, it is said.
