Embracing EVs for Sustainable Future
According to NEA officials, 22,000 units of electricity were consumed in just one day from the charging station. An official of the NEA said, "I didn't anticipate that 22,000 units of electricity would be sold in such a short time. There's much work to be done to bolster the EV infrastructure in Nepal. However, this surge in usage clearly shows that people are embracing EVs.”
According to the officials of the NEA, around 20,000 liters of diesel-petrol was saved in a single day as EVs were charged more than 2,000 times in one day, saving more than Rs 3.5 million.
