Over 100,000 individuals seeking foreign jobs received approval from the govt in the past two months

KATHMANDU, June 22: The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) issued new job permits for 57,783 migrant workers just in one month between mid-May and mid-June.

KATHMANDU, June 22: The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) issued new job permits for 57,783 migrant workers just in one month between mid-May and mid-June. This is 30.33 percent more than the figure of the previous month.


The DoFE records show that the number of individuals aspiring for foreign jobs has increased by a notable rate in recent days. In one month of mid-April and mid-May, 44,333 individuals received permits for foreign employment from the government.

Of the total number of individuals receiving approval last month, 50,267 were men while the remaining 7,514 were women. Out of them, 19,238 received government approval for jobs in Malaysia, the largest among all. The rest were given approval for employment in the Middle East and the European countries.
