Outgoing Foreign Minister Gyawali publicizes his property details, thanks all for their support during his tenure

KATHMANDU, June 5: Outgoing Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali has publicized his property details on the same day he wrapped up his three plus years tenure as the foreign minister on Friday.

Taking to the social media, Gyawali publicized that he deposited Rs 314, 930 as levy from the allowance he received during his foreign trips as minister and Rs 620,000 as levy from the allowacne received as minister to the party's bank account. Similarly, he has said that he submitted Rs 372,411 as tax deducted from the allowance to the state fund. 

Gyawali said that he has Rs 741,775 saving in his bank account. "I want to inform that there has been no changes in the property I publicised shortly after assuming the post of minister except for an addition of around 200 books and a few household goods," he wrote. 

Gyawali also wrote that he has already submitted his official vehicle and the Macbook Pro that he used as the minister to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs  and vacating the ministerial residence in Pulchowk on Saturday.

Gyawali has thanked former Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal and entire Foreign Ministry team for the support and cooperation extended to him during his tenure as foreign minister.

Gyawali has also appreciated the cooperation and support extended by foreign ministers of different countries, representatives of multilateral and regional organizations and various diplomatic missions based in Kathmandu during his tenure as foreign minister. 

Caretaker Prime Minister K P Oli on Friday brought massive reshuffle in his cabinet. The new cabinet has three Deputy Prime Ministers, 12 cabinet ministers and two state ministers. Prime Minister Oli has appointed Raghubir Mahaseth as Deputy Prime Minister along with the portfolio of foreign ministry.
