KATHMANDU, May 24: Opposition parties are preparing to file a writ petition against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) at the Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday.
Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist center), Madhav Nepal-led faction of of the ruling CPN-UML, Upendra Yadav led-faction of JSP and Rastriya Janamorcha Party are scheduled to visit the apex court to file a case against the HoR dissolution today.

Lawmakers of the opposition party had gathered at Singha Durbar on Monday to collect signatures against the HoR dissolution.
Earlier on Saturday, President Bidya Devi Bhandari dissolved parliament and announced midterm elections on November 12 and November 19 at the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Oli.
The opposition party leaders and constitutional experts have been opposing the move of the government calling it ‘unconstitutional’ and ‘undemocratic’.
