Police destroy opium planted on 329 ropanis of land

BIRENDRANAGAR, April 27: A team from the District Police Office, Jajarkot, has destroyed opium planted on 329 ropanis of land in two municipalities.


The police team destroyed the banned plant cultivation based on a special tip-off.

It is said that the illegal opium plantation was destroyed by the police in Barekot Rural Municipality, Nalgad Municipality, Junechandi Rural Municipality including the place called Bhere located in Bheri Municipality-6.


The campaign to destroy the opium plantation in Jajarkot district started in the middle of April. In rural areas, marijuana and opium cultivation is done secretly. Marijuana and opium are cultivated in many places in Karnali.
