KATHMANDU, Aug 30: A single bench of Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla has issued an interim order against government’s decision to shut down Bajeko Sekuwa outlets.

The Supreme Court has also issued show cause notice to the government in a writ petition filed by Nitima Bhandar Karki, wife of Chetan Bhandari, one of the accused in 33 kg gold smuggling.

The interim order allows Bajeko Sekuwa to come into operation and states that the government’s decision to close all of its outlets had brought loss to the company and affected livelihood of those employed.

The order puts selling of properties on hold.  Read the full interim order here.
