DHARAN, Aug 11: The Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) has decided to suspend its outdoor patient (OPD) service starting from Wednesday until further notice.
The decision comes following the confirmation of COVID-19 infection in the medics at the institute. According to Dr Bikash Shah, assistant director at the hospital, the OPD services will remain shut indefinitely as a safety precaution to contain the spread of COVID-19.
A physician at the ENT section, his wife and their two children were diagnosed with the viral disease lately.
