A lot of people get interested in art later on in life when they are already pretty involved in some other profession of their choice. For such individuals, delving into a field that is as vast as art might be a little intimidating especially when you don’t really have the time to attend daily art classes at art institutions.

So, The Week has created a list of some of the best online resources that will be useful for beginners in art. This way, you can learn about your preferred field of interest in art at your own pace and without having to give up your job.

The Sorry Girls
For anyone who wants to learn all the tricks and tips you need to know while taking on hefty DIY projects, you need to follow The Sorry Girls. Becky Wright and Kasey MacDermaid are the two masterminds behind The Sorry Girls YouTube channel. Here they upload videos of themselves making the craziest things that look like it came out of a furniture catalogue. Although in a majority of their videos they take on furniture or home decor related projects to DIY, time and again they also upload videos of them trying something else like a straw or tote bag, listing out their DIY must have things, or redesigning and stitching thrift clothes. It’s an engaging and entertaining channel for anyone who wants to get a little creative.

Art Side of Life
If you are looking for an insider’s perception of and experience in the art industry, the art side of life is the perfect podcast for you. It is hosted by artist Iva Mikles and, in almost every single episode, she has a different guest over who talks about their own journey of pursuing art. Because Mikles is an artist herself, she knows the kind of questions to ask to another artist that will actually let the artist talk about the way they perceive art, the biggest struggles they have had to face in their careers, how they pushed past those hurdles, and how to earn and make a living out of your art.

Amanda Rachel Lee
If you are into bullet journaling or have tried it even once, chances are you have come across Amanda Rachel Lee’s journaling spreads. Lee is a Canadian artist and YouTuber who is hailed as the unofficial bullet journaling queen of YouTube. Lee has been uploading tips and tricks you can incorporate while making your own bullet journal every week for the past four years and has successfully garnered over 1.2 million subscribers on her eponymous YouTube channel. Her videos always have some new and creative ideas, doodles, or page setups that the viewers can add to their own personal journals and it’s amazing to think that even though Lee has uploaded over 250 videos on the theme, she can still find new ideas to try out in her videos.

The operators of this fashion and DIY focused YouTube channel are South Korean twin sisters Han Qwon and Han Qjin. Both of them are also fashion designers and upload similar content on other social media sites including Instagram, Tumblr, and their blog.
