KHALANGA, Nov 14: A clash ensued between the cadres of ruling coalition and CPN-UML at Dhuligada of Darchula district on Sunday.
A person was seriously injured in the clash, according to the District Police Office (DPO), Darchula. The injured one was identified as Jayabhan Singh Dhami of CPN (Maoist Center), shared information officer at the DPO, Darchula, Rajesh Shahi. Dhami is chairperson of the party's Kathmandu-Darchula contact coordination committee.
According to Information Officer Shahi, the 35-year-old was referred to Dhangadi after he could not be treated at the Primary Health Centre, Gokuleshwor given his serious injury.
Earlier, a similar confrontation had occurred between the ruling coalition and CPN-UML cadres at Apihimal Rural Municipality.
Additional security personnel were mobilized in those areas following the confrontation, Shahi said.
