BHAKTAPUR, Jan 2: The one-month long Madhav Narayan festival has begun in Bhaktapur from Monday. The festival that begins from Paush Shukla Poornima, the beginning day of Swasthani Brata Katha will last till Magh Shukla Poornima at Hanumanghat of Bhaktapur Municipality-6.
During this holy month, the devotees roll on the roads, wrapping white cloth on their body and offering the holy water to different deities on different days. They take a holy dip in the pond. Thousands of devotees throng to the holy site during this period.
