KATHMANDU, March 17: One person lost life while four others were injured when a passenger bus en route to Pokhara from Gaur collided with a truck in the Jalbire area along the Narayangarh-Mugling road section in Ichchakamana-6.
The deceased has been identified as 37-year-old Gauri Das from Motihari, Champaran, India. According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, Das passed away while being rushed to Bharatpur for medical treatment.

Police said that the accident took place when the bus Ga 1 Kha 8525, en route from Gaur, Rautahat, to Pokhara, collided with a truck Na 6 Kha 3280, parked alongside the Jalbire.
As a result of the collision, truck driver Hakeem Mia, 33, a resident of Birgunj-23, sustained head injuries, while Rita Gupta, 39, from Majapur district in the Indian state of Bihar sustained injuries. Both are currently receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College.
Similarly, Pooja Gupta, 25, from Milan Chowk, Barahathawa Municipality, Sarlahi, and Ambar Nath Kumar, 32, from Ramanagara in Sitamarhi District, India, are also undergoing treatment in Bharatpur.
Police have apprehended the bus driver, 39-year-old Laxman Gurung, a resident of Kawasoti-14, Nawalparasi (Sustapur), and initiated an investigation into the incident.
