KAWASOTI, July 15: A person was killed and 12 others injured after a bus rammed into a stationary truck at Chormara jungle of Madhyabindu – 7 in Nawalparasi along the East-West Highway today. 

The ill-fated bus (Na 5 Kha 6274) was heading towards Pyuthan from Kathmandu when it crashed into the truck (Lu 1 Kha 6751) killing Bhesh Bahadur Bucha, 28, of Gulmi Khyang – 9, Area Police office, Nawalpur said. 

Among the injured, the bus owner Jhapindra Thapa, Ishwori Kapri of Chapire – 3 of Gulimi – 6, Devendra Khatri, Kamal Pandey, Arjun Bhattarai, Bishal BK and Bishnu Poudel of Pyuthan were rushed to Chitwan while others are being treated at Dando Madhya Bindu Community Hospital. 

The road which remained obstructed for two hours following the accident has resumed. RSS
