One held with leopard bodily parts

DANG, March 29: Police arrested a person in possession of the hide and teeth of rare wild beast, leopard. 

Acting on a tip off of wildlife smuggling, a special police squad headed by Inspector at District Police Office, Dang, Dhana Dev Saud arrested Sunil Sunar, 20, with a leopard skin and eight teeth. 

Sunar was taken control from his rented house at Ghorahi sub-metropolis-17, Chaughera. 

The District Police Office, Dang made him public with bodily parts of leopard by organizing a press conference at its office on Wednesday. 

Preparations are underway to hand over the arrestee along with leopard hide and teeth to District Forest Office for further investigations, shared District Police Chief SP Durga Singh at the press conference. 

The seized-leopard hide has the length of 5.11 feet and breadth of 4.3 feet.(RSS)
