LUMBINI, March 24: One person died and two others were injured in an accident that took place today on the Butwal-Bhairahawa section under the Siddharth Highway.
Lumbini Province Traffic Police Office, Butwal, reported that a motorcycle (Lu 72 Pa 7392) going from Butwal to Bhairahawa went out of control when it collided with a bus (Lu 1 Ka 535) going in the same direction and hit two other motorcycles (Lu 17 Pa 3762 and Lu 6 Pa 602) coming from the opposite direction at Horizon Chowk, Butwal Sub-Metropolis- 10.
According to traffic police, a 20-year-old youth of Tilottama Municipality-4, the motorcycle (Lu 72 Pa 7392) rider died in the accident. Similarly, Hum Bahadur Thapa, 35, of Tilottama-7, the rider of the motorcycle (Lu 17 Pa 3762), and Devi Thapa, 70, the pillion rider, were injured. Both the injured are being treated at Lumbini Provincial Hospital.
