JAJARKOT, Sept 12: One person died and another sustained injuries after being buried in the rain-triggered landslide in Jajarkot on Wednesday night at around midnight.

The deceased has been identified as Khadga Bahadur Rawat, aged 18, of Chhedagad-6, Suwaanauli, the chief of Jajarkot Police DSP Shyam Bahadur Khatri informed Republica Online. 

According to DSP Khatri, they were entrapped in the landslide while they were returning from Pasil after observing Dhami dance. 

Deceased Raut had sustained severe injuries due to stones falling from the cliff, while Nim Bahadur Raut,15, who was also with him survived the disaster running away. He is now receiving treatment at a local health-post for his head injuries.
