One dies, another goes missing in Bagmati River

RAUTAHAT, Sept 27: One child has died while another child has gone missing in the Bagmati River at Bramhapuri Tole in Rajdevi Municipality-9 in Rautahat district. 

Four children had gone fishing in the river on Sunday. While two of them returned home, Ajit Mahara, 11, of Rajdevi Municipality drowned in the Bagmati River, according to police. Another missing child in the river has been identified as Pintu Paswan, 10, of the same village.

Locals and police personnel have expedited search operations to find the missing boy. According to the police, the body of the deceased has been kept at the District Hospital, Gaur, for postmortem.
