One dead, two hurt in pickup van accident

SALYAN, Sept 10: A woman was killed and two others were injured when a pickup van met with an accident today at Sharada municipality-13 in Salyan. 

The District Police Office (DPO), Salyan has confirmed the death of Hukumi BK, 55, of Pipalneta of Bagchaur municipality-10 in the accident. 

The injured are Bal Bahadur BK, 65, and driver Kamal BK, 21, and they are being treated at a local medical in Shreenagar. Bal Bahadur is a spouse of Hukumi. The vehicle en route to Shreenagar from Syanikhal skidded off the road and fell some 200 meters down.

The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, DPO Salyan's Deputy Superintendent of Police, Birendra Bahadur Shahi said. Further investigations into the matter are underway. RSS
