One arrested with over 9 kg of hashish from Kailali

DHANGADI, Dec 28:  Police arrested a man with more than 9 kg of hashish from Attariya, Kailali.

DHANGADI, Dec 28:  Police arrested a man with more than 9 kg of hashish from Attariya, Kailali.


Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Prakash Joshi said that 36-year-old Yamraj Daulyal, a resident of Durgathali Rural Municipality-7, Bajhang, was arrested with 9.34 kg of hashish from a room of Nabin Hotel located in Godavari Municipality-2 near bus park of Kailali.

Based on special information, a joint police team deployed in plain clothes from the Sudurpaschim Province Police Office Dhangadhi, District Police Office Dhangadhi and Area Police Office Malakheti caught him from the Room 101 of the hotel around 7.30 PM on Tuesday evening, he said.


The police said that they are keeping him under custody of the Area Police Office, Malakheti. A large amount of hashish is brought from Bajhang and traded in different places including India. Even though the porters of hashish are caught from time to time, the police have not been able to nab the leader of the gang who deals in hashish.
