MORANG, JUNE 26: Police have arrested a person from Budiganga Rural Municipality-6,  Morang, with eight kilograms of marijuana on Saturday evening.

Morang Police Spokesperson DSP Deepak Shrestha said that Netra Bahadur Bhattarai, 43, of Sundar Haraicha Municipality-3 was arrested. A team of Area Police Office, Nemuwa, arrested Bhattarai with the aforementioned amount of marijuana.

Police had to pursue Bhattarai who was riding a motorcycle (Ko 14 Pa 8960) for a distance before they were able to get hold of him. When the police checked the motorcycles after suspicion, they retrieved eight kilograms of marijuana. Police said that they are preparing to file a case against Bhattarai under the Narcotics Act.
