RAUTAHAT, Nov 17:A quintal and a half of chicken meat which was being prepared to be distributed to voters' houses in violation of the code of conduct was seized. Last night Rautahat police seized one and a half quintals of meat from Gaur Municipality 9, Sirsia, Rautahat.
The local Binod Singh was arrested by the police while cooking chicken meat for house-to-house distribution and feast, said Superintendent of Police Bir Bahadur Budha Magar, chief of the District Police Office, Rautahat.
It is mentioned in the election Code of Conduct that it is illegal to distribute goods to people's houses during the time of election. SP Magar said that Singh was caught while preparing large quantities of meat and was released later.
