KATHMANDU, April 2: Nepali Congress Spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that the allegation made by CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba ignored him before his visit was false. Spokesperson Mahat made the remarks during a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday.

“People close to Chairman Oli have been spreading misinformation that the PM did not meet or hold any talks with him. This is not true,” Mahat said. “PM Deuba informed Oli was unable to meet him so he decided to call him to come meet him instead, which he did not,” he added.

Mahat also said that the NC has always spoken the truth and acted accordingly. He mentioned that the NC has been conducting foreign policy by keeping the interest of the country and the needs of the country at the center. "Even when we are in power, we do not change our words, our words and our stance," he said.

He also claimed that PM Deuba would raise all issues of Nepal's interest and national interest during his visit to India. He also claimed that relations between Nepal and India were good apart from border issues and that they will be resolved soon if not immediately.
