KATHMANDU, May 13: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli and senior leader of the party, Madhav Kumar Nepal, have been holding talks to resolve their differences to save party unity.
Prime Minister’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa confirmed the meeting being held at a private residence in Budhanilakhanta. However, Thapa did not disclose whose house it is.

Sources said the meeting is being held at the residence of Captain Rameshwar Thapa, who is also the owner of a media house. The meeting between Oli and Nepal comes hours after the UML’s Standing Committee revoked its decision to suspend four UML leaders including Nepal.
The meeting between the two senior leaders of the party is seen with much interest as lawmakers close to the Nepal-led faction had earlier announced to resign en masse if Oli fails to revoke all ‘unilateral decisions’, mainly after the Supreme Court’s verdict that invalidated the unification between UML and the CPN (Maoist Center).
