KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Ram Chandra Paudel has said that the Oli-led led government has done nothing to achieve its goal ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.’

Speaking at the inaugural session of the Mahasamiti meeting of the Nepali Congress which started from Saturday, Paudel said the government has derailed from its communist ideals and is not going to fulfill even a bit of what they had promised before the elections.

“What happed to their political ideology of communism and socialism? Nothing is being prevailed so far in their practices except for indulging in the test of 'holy wine', 33 kg gold scam and wide-body aircraft irregularities ,” criticized Paudel.

The Nepali Congress is the only party in the country that does not believe in mere lip-services and fulfills what it once commits, claimed Paudel.

Meanwhile, Paudel called for unity among the leaders and cadres in the party saying that it is possible through logical and open dialogue.  

“Do not hesitate to speak your heart. The cadres should evaluate the leaders and vice versa in a democratic system,” Paudel urge the leaders and representatives participating at the meeting.

Saying that self-defeatism, intra-party faction and lack of understanding led to the party’s downfall in the previous elections, we should now rectify ourselves by forging unity, understanding and cooperation in the party before moving toward the people.
