KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Chairman of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli has instructed the newly elected MPs of the party to give top priority to parliamentary activities.
Inaugurating a two-day training program for the party's MPs, which started in Kathmandu on Saturday, he said that since they are MPs, they should concentrate on parliamentary activities.
Chairman Oli also instructed them to attend the party’s parliamentary meetings on time
"We do not attend any program on time and stay in the programme for full time, and especially we do not send MPs to participate in parliament meetings, and we do not attend training programs. But we have time for other activities,” said Oli.
Sometimes there may be such a situation which is acceptable. But generally speaking, we are people's representatives, we are parliamentarians. And, we should give priority to the work we have to do as parliamentarians. The meeting of the parliamentary party should be attended on time. Deadlines must be met,” he added.
