Oli condoles death of Fidel Castro, says Nepal lost a sincere friend

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has expressed his condolences to Cuba’s President Raul Castro on the demise of the revolutionary leader Fidel Castro.

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has expressed his condolences to Cuba’s President Raul Castro on the demise of the revolutionary leader Fidel Castro.



In the condolence message to the Cuban President, Oli said that Castro was a towering figure of world communist and socialist movement of our time, adding that he remained a great source of inspiration not only for the communist revolutionaries but all freedom and justice loving people around the world.  



“In his demise, the world has lost a visionary, courageous and committed leader and Nepal a sincere friend. This is an irreparable loss for all of us. I am confident that the friendly people of Cuba will continue to tread on the path shown by Comrade Castro and make further progress to sustain the glorious history of their country,” Oli said in a statement.
