KATHMANDU, Dec 25: UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has agreed to make Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of CPN Maoist Center, as the new prime minister.
UML Chairman Oli agreed to make Pushpa Kamal Dahal the prime minister after a meeting of six parties held at Oli's residence at Balkot. The leaders are preparing a draft agreement in this regard before the 5 pm deadline set by the president for the formation of a new government .
It is said that Rastriya Swatantra Party, Janamat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party and Janata Samajbadi Party will also be included in the new government to be formed under the leadership of Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari has given a deadline of 5 pm this evening and has invited the political parties to stake claim for the leadership of the government with a majority in parliament.
