KATHMANDU, Dec 22: As many as 556 new central committee members nominated by NCP’s Chairman and Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli took oath on Tuesday.
Oli announced the nomination at the Central Committee Meeting held by the Oli-led faction at Baluwatar this morning. Following the announcement, Oli administered the oath to 556 nominated members.

According to Surya Thapa, press advisor to PM Oli, the latter had already decided to make the nomination the day before.
After the dissolution of parliament, the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is on the verge of split. The Oli-led NCP faction recently named Pradeep Gyawali as the party’s new spokesperson.
The Dahal-Nepal led NCP faction is scheduled to hold a Central Committee Meeting at 1 pm later this afternoon.
