Ola Electric forays into Nepal with the all-new S1 scooters

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Ola Electric, India’s largest electric vehicles company on Thursday announced its foray in Nepal through a partnership with CG Motors. Under the MoU, Ola Electric will launch its stunning Ola S1 scooters (S1 & S1 Pro) in Nepal. 
Finance Minister Janardan Sharma was present during the special function organized to sign an MoU with CG Motors in Kathmandu. The partnership furthers the Nepal government’s goal of transforming the country to light electric vehicles by 2031. The Ola S1 scooters will be available in Nepal starting next quarter. 
“Accelerating our EV penetration worldwide, we are proud to bring these feature rich, high-tech, segment-first scooters to our Nepalese customers. Taking a definitive stride towards our larger goal of building electrification for India, from India to the world, we are now excited to see the Ola S1 scooters enter vibrant markets like Nepal as well," a press statement quoted YS Kim, Head of Global Sales and Distribution, Ola Electric, as saying. 
CEO o CG Motors Hemant Agarwal said the partnership with Ola is an important milestone for CG Motors and the EV sector of Nepal. "Ola S1 with its cutting-edge technology and features is the world's best scooter and jointly we strive to bring this great product to the Nepalese consumers who want to go electric. Backed by our nation wide sales and support network we envision Ola to become the No:1 two wheeler brand in Nepal,” he said. 
The Ola S1 scooters have been appreciated for their premium design, superior performance, best in class features and new age connected technology in India. Positioned as one of the most advanced scooters in its category, both Ola S1 and and S1 Pro come with some of the most popular MoveOS features such as Music Playback, Navigation, Companion App, and Reverse Mode, with an exception of the Hyper mode only in the S1 Pro.
