Officials monitor highway eateries

CHITWAN, Oct 3: Following the direction of the Prime Minister, officials of different offices of Chitwan, have monitored the eateries at Ramnagar of the district on Sunday night.



Earlier, the PM had directed the district administration office to take stern action to the hoteliers if they were found charging exorbitant prices from the service recipients by providing stale, rotten and unhealthy food items. [break]



The officials said the hotels were too dirty and were not maintaining minimum health standards while monitoring from 8:45 pm to 10:30 pm and were also charging exorbitant from the service seekers as well the foods were substandard.



The officials said that most of the hotels have not kept the documents needed to run this business.



The officials have directed the proprietors of such hotels to receive the documents from the administration at the earliest. The team has also warned the hoteliers for their wrongdoings.
